University of Galway has a long history and is internationally recognised for producing quality market ready graduates in all areas of Business, Public Policy and Law. The College has a wide range of undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research postgraduate programmes which are all delivered by research active staff who are at the forefront of original thinking in both the commercial and public policy arenas. Our mission is to serve the public good and provide solutions to meet the challenges of our time. Message from the Executive Dean - Professor Geraint Howells
Welcome to the College of Business, Public Policy and Law's website. The College comprises the School of Law, the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics, and Shannon College of Hotel Management.
Our research strengths make us well placed to conduct inter-disciplinary research into the great challenges facing our society. This research feeds into innovative and topical teaching programmes that attract a diverse undergraduate and postgraduate student population, producing graduates who will shape the future with the skills to address key public policy questions of the day.
I invite you to explore our website and hope you feel encouraged to engage with our community as student, alumni, researcher or stakeholder. We seek to serve our local community by attracting world class students and scholars to this enterprising and innovative and yet idyllic region. Driven by Research
Staff and postgraduate students are engaged in a wide range of research in Business, Public Policy and Law. The research is supported in the main by two research institutes. The Whitaker
The College also has a range of research programmes from Masters to Phd level.
International Students
The College of Business, Public Policy & Law welcomes students from around the globe. International candidates are encouraged to enrol in one of our undergraduate or postgraduate
The College has partnerships with over 75 international universities, which affords the opportunity for University of Galway students to immerse themselves in the host county's culture, while participating in academic studies. Similarly, students from our partner universities come to University of Galway to expand their horizons and develop new skills, commensurate with being globally competent candidates.
